Your list, your priorities

What can your Wifey help with?

Your visit can be planned around the meals and kitchen tasks you’d like help with. Depending on your instructions and the time booked, your Wifey may be able to:

  • Wash, peel and chop vegetables
  • Prepare ingredients for meals
  • Follow your recipes, meal lists or written instructions
  • Cook simple home-style meals in your kitchen
  • Prepare lunches, snacks or dinners
  • Cook several meals to enjoy throughout the week
  • Portion cooked meals into containers you provide
  • Help prepare a week’s worth of dinners, where the recipes and time allow
  • Tidy the food preparation area and wash the utensils used, as time permits

Every household is different. You can give us a list of meals or tasks and let us know what you’d like us to prioritise. Your Wifey will work through your list during the time you book.

Five simple steps

Meal prep made simple

Getting started is easy. You don’t need to organise a complicated meal plan or use a special booking system.

  1. Tell us what you need

Send us an enquiry and let us know whether you’re looking for a one-off visit or regular meal preparation. You can also tell us how many people you’re cooking for and what kind of help you have in mind.

  2. Choose your meals and provide your instructions

You can provide the recipes, meal list, shopping list or step-by-step instructions you’d like us to follow. If there are particular meals you want prepared first, just let us know.

  3. Have the ingredients and equipment ready

We prepare and cook in your home, using your ingredients and your kitchen equipment. Please have the groceries, cookware, utensils and any food-storage containers you’d like us to use ready for the visit. We don’t supply ingredients or bring cooking equipment.

  4. Your Wifey gets started

Your Wifey will follow your instructions and work through your priorities during the booked time. We’ll focus on making meal preparation feel straightforward and convenient for you.

  5. Enjoy a little more breathing room

Meals can be portioned into your containers for later, where requested. You’ll have food ready to refrigerate or freeze according to your usual routine, and less preparation to do when it’s time to eat.

One visit, several dinners

Prepare a week’s worth of dinners in one visit

Imagine opening the fridge or freezer and having some of the week’s meals already prepared. Hire a Wifey can help you prepare multiple dinners during one visit, using your chosen recipes and ingredients.

The number of meals we can prepare will depend on the recipes, ingredient preparation, cooking times, serving sizes and the hours booked. When you enquire, tell us what you’d like to make and we can help you choose a suitable amount of Wifey time.

You can also combine meal preparation with other household help, such as laundry, ironing or general tidying. Just let us know your priorities so we can plan the visit around them.
